Digital Marketing Specialist

We are looking for a dynamic and bright individual with a strong background in digital marketing, including experience in PPC, social media marketing and SEO. You should be able to plan and optimise digital platforms across a range of clients and be comfortable developing and implementing any improvements to client accounts. We are ideally looking for a candidate who is autonomous and can work well without micromanagement.

The preferred candidate will be involved in various internal and client projects, so they will need to have excellent time management, attention to detail, organisational and communication skills. The Agency’s clients span a variety of industries, so this position requires someone that can adapt to the different requirements of each client and industry.

What will you be doing?

This is an agency role as such you will be working in a fast moving environment where speed and accuracy are key.

You should also have excellent communication skills to liaise directly with clients regarding campaign performance and planning.

The role will involve managing digital channels including but not limited to PPC across a range of providers and social media accounts. This role requires a combination of creative and analytical thinking to engage customers and reach new potential customers.

Your experience in PPC and social know how to manage accounts and implement strategies in line with industry best practices will be required. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the PPC and social accounts, monitoring and reporting on campaign performance, proactively identifying and acting on areas of opportunity.

Your responsibilities

  • Research and help with building plans to drive traffic, engagement, leads and purchases
  • Work within the digital marketing team to implement channel strategies for clients
  • Input content on a range of channels; PPC, social, CMS, email where required
  • Collaborate with design teams to implement copy for digital channels, keeping within brand guidelines
  • Manage PPC and social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day schedules for a range of clients
  • Develop and expand PPC and social media based communities and engagement
  • Compile reports for social media profiles – KPIs and ROI
  • Manage client relationships, with strong communication about project briefs, ideas, and feedback
  • Research and compile data to inform decision making on future campaigns
  • Perform keyword research and analysis to identify new keyword opportunities
  • Complete on-site and off-site SEO tasks conforming to best practice guidelines
  • Maintain and improve campaigns to make paid channels more cost effective
  • Test and optimise campaigns to meet KPIs
  • Monitor, report and analyse all digital channels
  • Report creation and performance analysis, with an understanding on how to make improvements
  • Research and analyse client competitors
  • Be proactive and identify opportunities and make recommendations to optimise websites
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry news and trends, including algorithm updates

Skills & essential criteria required

  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple projects
  • Experienced in media planning
  • PPC account management and optimisation
  • Social media and reputation management
  • SEO experience would be desirable
  • Understanding and familiar with Search, Shopping and Display/Remarketing campaigns
  • Experience using Google products: Ads, Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager and Google My Business
  • Experience using SEM & SEO tools
  • Strong planning and communication abilities
  • Understanding of CRM products and website analytical tools

Desirable criteria

  • Minimum 12-24 months experience either agency or client side
  • Experience in building client relationships
  • Marketing Degree (or equivalent) is welcomed but not required with relevant experience
  • Full UK driving licence
