Full job description:
A highly organised individual with an excellent understanding of agency process and Direct Mail Print. One who loves the creative process and can support our creative team and turn ideas into print campaigns. Someone with the organisational skills to support the punctual trafficking of creative deliverables, ensuring that the agency delivers superb work on time and within budget.
Experienced in managing high volume Direct Mail campaigns and the print process, including preparing and writing data briefs to postage providers, lasering and enclosing briefs for print campaigns and managing the process from concept to production and mailing.
Fosters strong relationships with trusted print production partners to ensure that where clients require our production support, this is done on time and at a competitive price.
The ideal candidate will need to be exceptionally well organised, great at multitasking, with superb attention to detail. A confident and persuasive communicator who can build positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
The role responsibilities include:
• Building strong relationships with trusted agency print production partners
• Negotiating the best rates for clients production budgets
• Collaborating with the Client Services Team, Creative Director & Studio to assess project resource and production requirements.
• Developing individual project resource plans to deliver work building in client deadlines and sign off procedures
• Liaise confidently with colleagues across the agency to build robust project resource plans
• Thinking laterally about resource solutions on challenging projects.
• Trafficking work efficiently through the agency to ensure punctual delivery.
• Checking on the progress of projects and communicating with others as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
• Revise and juggle schedules as required to account for asset availability, changes to briefs or priorities – e.g. an urgent unplanned work requirement, pitches.
• Running daily status meetings to update team on project status to ensure that team (and external freelance resource) know which projects they are due to work on and what the delivery expectations are for that current day and week ahead.
• Identifying the need for freelance resources, booking and scheduling resource at the right skillset and experience level, and within the freelance budget.
• Negotiating freelance rates as necessary and overseeing freelance time for booked projects.
• Assess trends in the types and volume of work to make recommendations regarding future resource requirements.
• Proactively make recommendations and drive forward how scheduling & production is managed in the company.
Technical skills:
Proficient in Google suite, Word and Excel.
