To help implement and support the video content and film strategy across the core scientific content channels. Works closely with scientific leads on video content creation and undertake filming for shows and in labs. Work to understand commercial aspects of digital publishing and create multimedia content in line with audience development and client need. Assist with events, media partnerships and client support, where appropriate.

The Video and Media Producer will work closely with the Senior Associate Editor to ensure filming and video content creation is timely and achieves best practice quality and standards. They will work with the editorial team, client services and production to fulfil filming briefs and to meet client requirements.

• Undertakes filming and video content creation, production and delivery in line with content and social media strategies and client needs
• Works to support members of the editorial team on all filming and video requirements, including booking and working with freelancers, and ensuring timely delivery
• Researches and contributes to ideas for content creation
• Assures quality of assigned deliverables/content
• Manages and maintains video/audio equipment to ensure quality
• Takes part in client calls, where appropriate
• Travels to industry events and shows for event coverage and filming
• Undertakes and manages in-lab filming in line with agreed brief

Essential: Experience working with video tools and platforms such as Vimeo, Premiere Pro, Descript, and Adobe apps. Excellent technical knowledge of professional cameras and industry equipment and mobile devices. Familiarity with different camera types, lenses and lighting set ups. Ability to edit raw footage to create polished and engaging videos.

Desirable: Experience of marketing platforms and tools such Hubspot, Zephyr and Echobox. Worked for a scientific publisher, B2B experience. Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress or Sanity and analytical tools such as PowerBI, GA4 etc

Essential: At least two years working in an editorial team (or equivalent) creating video and digital content.

Desirable: Worked for a scientific publisher, B2B experience. Project management experience
